Quality Inn & Suites Schoharie near Howe Caverns

Not a great hotel, it is rundown. Other reviews stated presence of bedbugs, I didn't see any thank God. But if I wake up and have bites I will be immediately editing my review. They need new shower heads. Mine had the typical green/white residue, which is extremely difficult to clean. The water did not feel too good but did the job; im glad there was lotion. The AC looked filthy, turned off after a while. Oh also, someone opened my door...that's my fault for not locking it immediately. They asked who I was, I said that I just got this room, they apologized and left. Was not sure if I should call police. It's also kinda noisy. I think I need to form a habit of speaking to staff about potential issues. Other than that, it's alright. It's not pricey, so I guess u get what u pay for. Keep in mind that this location is essentially in the middle of nowhere, so if u just need a quick place to stay, this isn't too bad of a spot. I am not gonna judge all that much. Speaking of location, this area is gorgeous. Upstate NY is a sight to see.

Starting with the truly lovely calming property, a beautiful place to be w/gorgeous landscaping, birds singing, shade, perfect surrounding mountain view, soul soothing after long trip. Perfect for morning/evening meditation/yoga (Schoharie County community should jump on utilizing the natural beauty for local yoga or something, it’s a gem of a property). The staff are all super friendly, and accommodating, wanting to make sure we had everything to make our stay the best possible. The beds are VERY comfortable, like sleeping on a cozy marshmallow, lol didn’t want to get out of it tho. Awesome affordable prices, really nice hot water for shower, perfect choices for free breakfast (awesome waffle maker, yummy), excellent location right off rte 88, and access to so many great local attractions. The owner made two excellent choices, #1 location, #2 the Manager, both are beyond amazing, and priceless! Had a wonderful stay, grateful it came across my path, thank you

This hotel is nestled in a great location near the highway and near a few local attractions. The room we had was spacious with a TV, couch, dining table, AND bar nook! The only flaw with the room is the furniture is a bit dated. Harshil, the manager was a gracious host. He was responsive to all of our requests and concerns throughout our stay at the Inn. He was definitely a highlight of our stay.

Stayed here on my trip to Howe caverns, it was clean and the staff was very friendly, for the price the room was very clean and big!! I’ll definitely be back

Despite all the negative reviews, my family and I decided to stay here for the night. The room was actually quite nice, there were no bedbugs, mold, or drug addicts. We were concerned about the smell of cigarettes and weed that other reviews mentioned, but we didn’t notice it at all. The breakfast was good, though somewhat limited. There were bagels, a waffle machine, juice, cereal, coffee, and some fruit. If you’re just looking to stay the night somewhere, I would say this is a good spot.

We had to stop here unexpectedly for the night due to a medical emergency. The gentleman at the desk was so understanding and considerate, getting us checked in quickly. The room was clean and larger than we expected. Best of all given the condition we were in - it was DARK inside at night - no outdoor floodlights pointed at the windows and lighting it up like the sun. Amazingly quiet too, even though we were facing the highway! We weren't able to stay for breakfast, but the spread looked ample. Bed was confortable and we slept well before resuming our journey.
